A developer and freelancer discovery / talent directory platform where search traffic is the primary acquisition channel.
The site had user-generated profiles but almost no visibility in search. The problem: every profile page looked identical to Google — no structured metadata, no category pages, no keyword targeting.
Rebuilt the architecture: category landing pages for skills, locations, and service types. Each landing page linked to relevant profiles and rolled up structured data (reviews, pricing, availability).
Profiles themselves got semantic markup: skills as structured data, location as schema, portfolio as rich results.
Daily visits crossed 5K within four months. Long-tail searches (e.g., "React developer in Berlin") started landing on category pages.
The category structure became the primary discovery engine. Every new profile strengthens an existing category page, compounding the site's authority for talent searches.
